All Patients
The Upper Peninsula Surgery Center will collect the entire patient responsibility fee for the center at the time of service. Patients will receive a sperate bill from their doctor for professional fees and a separate bill from their anesthesiologist.
Self-Pay Patients
All self-pay patients must pay their patient responsibility fee for the services rendered at the Upper Peninsula Surgery Center 24 hours before their scheduled surgery. Additionally, they will receive a phone call from Anesthesia. In total, self-pay patients will receive bills from UPSC, doctor for professional fees, and anesthesia.

CareCredit® is a credit card exclusively for paying health care expenses. You can apply for a CareCredit® credit card to cover the facility portion of your bill at participating surgical facilities, including the Upper Peninsula Surgery Center.
