Peter Skellenger, MS, CRNA

Director of Anesthesia

Peter is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist specializing in all aspects of anesthesiology, including regional and general anesthesia and acute and chronic pain management. A native of Gladstone, Michigan, Peter attended Western Michigan University where he studied biomedical science and chemistry. He then received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Michigan University. Next, Peter attended the University of Detroit Merch where he completed his training in anesthesia and is currently completing fellowship training in advanced pain management through the University of South Florida. Peter is the Director of Anesthesia and chief anesthetist at the Upper Peninsula Surgery Center and continues to provide anesthesia services at Baraga County Memorial Hospital and Munising Memorial Hospital, among others. Outside of the operating room, Peter spends time cross country skiing, cycling, kayaking, and camping with his wife and dog.
